Healthcare Assistant

Haddenham Medical Centre invites candidates to apply for the role of Health Care Assistant.

We are a friendly, four partner training GP practice based in the attractive rural village of Haddenham in Buckinghamshire. We provide GMS medical services to nearly 8,000 patients from a new single, purpose–built surgery. Good in all areas in recent CQC inspection.

We invite applications for a fully trained Health Care Assistant.

Duties to include:

  • NHS health checks
  • ECG recording
  • BP monitoring
  • Urinalysis
  • Phlebotomy
  • Anti–coagulation clinics
  • Chaperoning duties
  • Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses
  • Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
  • Surgical equipment and vaccine re–stocking and stock rotation
  • Clearing and re–stocking consulting rooms
  • Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations
  • Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients' health and well–being

  • Helping to raise awareness of health and well–being and how it can be promoted
  • Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and wellbeing

Kirsty's Kitchen is looking for help required to run its small but busy kitchen, based in Long Crendon.

We need a kitchen assistant who is happy to look after all the washing up, keeping the kitchen tidy & maintained, helping to prep with any food related work & possible deliveries.

Applicants must have their own transport due to our location. Minimum hours required are 1pm–6pm, Mon–Thurs, more hours possibly available dependant on workload and the covering of staff holidays. No prior experience required just a willingness to work hard, sing along to the radio, & eat as many scotch eggs as you can manage! Pay is minimum wage.

We are a small but friendly team in a growing business which is evolving day by day, the role would suit a retired person who still wants to be active & earning some pennies or someone who doesn't want a full time role. It is not suitable for parents who would need school holidays off, as our busiest time is April through to October.

Architect / Building Surveyor / Architectural Technician

PCMS Design is a project management and architectural design firm working on a varied mix of public sector and residential projects. A new vacancy has arisen within our team for an Architect, Building Surveyor or Architectural Technician.

The primary aim is to support projects by developing designs and specifications according to strict deadlines and to meet a budget. The role includes liaising with other team members and third–party contractors or consultants in order to co–ordinate design details and resolve technical issues.

The successful candidate will have a university degree or equivalent qualification in the field of architecture, engineering or building surveying, and a minimum of 3 years direct work experience in a building design capacity, including aspects of planning and specification. A good working knowledge of current construction techniques, statutory requirements (Building Regulations, Building Bulletins, CDM Regulations, etc) and non–statutory design guidance is essential, in addition to demonstrated experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD).

The experience of working both independently and in a team is important. The ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a time–constrained environment is crucial, as are strong interpersonal skills.

Some local / regional travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients or contractors, and candidates will need to have a full driving licence. Depending upon the nature of the projects, there may be a requirement for a CRB check to be carried out.
