We understand that local resident, Tracey Platt, is in the process of purchasing the lease on Cafe Cibo in haddenham, which is good news for all those loyal customers who lament the closing of their favourite cafe. Here, Tracey offers an update and a request for suggestions.
I know the previous owners of Cafe Cibo made a big impression on the local community and were a popular couple.
I have lived in the area for 23 years after being posted here in the navy. I then worked at Hartwell house for seven years, had two babies and moved to Ludgershall, working in the pre-school there for 10 years.
My aim for the cafe on Banks Parade is to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where customers can come and have a chat with friends, relax with the kids or chill out whilst enjoying our choice of homemade savouries and cakes.
Although I cannot fill the boots of the previous owners your opinions do count and any suggestions regarding the cafe will be greatly appreciated.
We will be putting our own touch to the cafe decor and opening hours will be daytime only to begin with, although we do plan on opening later once we have built up a good following.
There will be an open day in about a month's time for one and all to come and check out the premise, meet the staff and try some of the freshly prepared food. Please keep an eye on the notice board outside the cafe and, of course, here on Haddenham.net for the definite date
Please feel free to post any suggestions through the letter box addressed to Tracey Platt and we will do our best to consider them all.
