Haddenham Village Society hosted its second Community Fair on Saturday 22nd September, and a very wet afternoon did not deter several hundred visitors from pouring into the village hall to see the stands of over 50 local organisations, clubs, trusts and societies on display.
Organisation of this logistically complex event represented several months of dedicated planning and detailed communications, largely thanks to Mike Mingos on behalf of HVS, with valuable financial support from the Haddenham Beer Festivals Trust and Haddenham Parish Council.
The afternoon included live entertainment and demonstrations from a number of local organisations, including:
Haddenham Mummers, Haddenham Handbell Ringers, The Vibe Acoustic Cafe, The Jazzercise Team, Haddenham Hoofers, Dance Fitness Entertainment, and Karen Collett with a willing group of dance-for-fitness children.
The CafePlus+ team from St Mary's Church did an incredible job in supplying all manner of delicious cakes and biscuits along with endless supplies of tea and coffee, while the sound and vision folk from St Mary's also provided an effective audio system with seamless precision.
By any measure, the event was a great success, reflecting the huge range of organisations and activities that can be enjoyed in our village.
The Village Society extends its sincere thanks to everyone who helped with the planning and organisation, staffing stands on the day, and contributing in various other ways – a real collaborative effort by the Haddenham community.
