Many local residents will share the disappointment of the parish council and the Village Society that Bucks Council today granted planning permission for 'change of use' to owners of the former Rose & Thistle pub for the building to become a residential dwelling.
Let us hope the unattractive "trailer park" will now be tidied up by the owners, out of respect for the Conservation Area in which the property sits

We have been notified by Bucks Council that the 'Change of Use' application for the Rose & Thistle pub will be considered by Central Buckinghamshire Area Planning Committee at its meeting, starting at 2.30pm on 6th March 2024 in The Oculus at The Gateway, Gatehouse Road, Aylesbury, HP19 8FF.

The meeting will also be webcast and the Agenda and the officer's report are available on the Bucks Council website at least 5 days prior to the meeting by following this link.
The council will allow the following to address the Planning Committee:

The time allowed for individuals to speak is just three minutes in total.
Although there was an unprecedented number of individuals who submitted a written objection, we would like to ensure that in-person objections presented to the meeting are well coordinated and clearly articulated.
To that end, we anticipate that representatives of Haddenham Parish Council and Haddenham Village Society will offer clear and well-structured verbal objections, based specifically on matters that are germane and relevant to this planning matter.
