We are saddened to announce that Simon Witney passed away on 7th May 2026 at the age of 76 from dementia.
Simon lived in Haddenham his entire life and loved the village. Many local residents will know Simon through his dedicated service for both Haddenham Sports and Social Club and Haddenham United Football Club, by attending his quizzes or race nights for various organisations or through playing table tennis or bowls or watching Chelsea and having a pint at “the club”.
Simon was a proud family man who did so much for others and was good at bringing people together and having fun.
His wife Joanne Witney, his son Mark Witney, his daughter Laura Bamford, their families and the wider family will miss him dearly.
