Hidden away in the heart of the village, Turn End Garden is an intriguing series of different 'rooms', each with a distinctive character and planting style, created over the past 50 years by architect Peter Aldington alongside his own award winning family home.

Until now, the Garden has mainly been open only for private visits and as part of the NGS Open Gardens scheme. From May 2014, Turn End Charitable Trust, formed to foster public understanding of relationships between landscape architecture, gardening, architecture and other creative arts, is initiating a programme of events designed to open up the garden as an amenity for local residents.

Events for 2014 include:

  • seasonal walks
  • arts and crafts workshops
  • gardening workshops
  • a sculpture exhibition
