I have owned this, from brand new for a while: it has very recently been to a repair shop who said the following:
There seem to be a couple of issues.
It takes a while for it to properly start up before you can use any function, but once it does, the Radio and Aux Functions work very well.
The CD will load and read, but there’s a mechanical click when the disc starts playing and playback doesn’t really work.
and which may account for the frequent “Please Wait” messages when switched on.
This overhaul cost £50.00.
