Following the popularity of last year’s Bat Walk led by Rhona Bate from the North Bucks Bat Group, by request we have arranged a repeat for 19th August (subject of course to the weather).
The arrangement is that we should all meet by the Church End pond at 7.45. Rhona asks that we should all bring a torch and wear sensible footwear – bat detectors will be provided, but of course if you have your own please feel free to bring it along.
The North Bucks Bat Group exists to promote bat conservation in Aylesbury Vale, Milton Keynes and the Chiltern Hills through recording, monitoring, educational work, practical conservation and by advising the public. It works in partnership with the Bat Conservation Trust and in collaboration with other bat groups. It is run entirely by volunteers and relies on donations and grants to fund its activities.
Please book with me in advance atgay.jordan@outlook.com or by phone on 01844 291490 so that we know how many people to plan for, and please bring a donation along in cash on the evening (minimum of £5 per person) to give to me on arrival so that I can hand it all over to Rhona in one go.
