Your local Junior School needs your help!

Firstly, the school team is looking for talented and skilled members of our local community to join our governing board.

School Governors

The Governing Board at Haddenham Community Junior School is comprised of staff, parents and representatives of the local authority and our community.

It is a friendly and hardworking team who work with me, the Headteacher, to provide strategic leadership and accountability. It sets the aims and objectives for the school and the policies and targets for achieving them.

It has three key functions:

  • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent
  • Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
  • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction

The whole Governing Board meets formally once every term and additionally when required. It also has sub-committees that meet at least once a term.

Volunteer Midday Supervisors

Secondly, we have a great need for help to support our children at lunchtimes and are looking for volunteer midday supervisors — particularly people who are enthusiastic, caring and committed.

If you are interested in helping our existing team of nurturing and supportive staff in a flexible, informal capacity even if you can only spare a small amount of time each week we would love to hear from you. What could be nicer than spending some time outdoors, playing games and talking with our wonderful children?

If you would like to talk to us about either of these two opportunities or simply wish to find out more please get in touch with Sam Rogers on srogers@haddenhamjun.co.uk for a no obligation chat.
