The Carwithen Music Festival got off to a wonderful start on Thursday evening with a truly impressive programme of British Chamber Music performed by the distinguished Piatti String Quartet.
Their technical abilities and sheer musicality were incredible.
Their repertoir on the eving included Household Music by Vaughan Williams, String Quartet No.1 in E Minor by Ina Boyle, sevenIrish Tunes for String Quartet by William Alwyn,The Holy Boy by John Ireland andString Quartet No.1 by Doreen Carwithen.
