Cider Competition 2026

Judging for this year's Cider Competition will be held in the Rising Sun on Saturday 21st March, commecing at 7:00pm but please arrive early as this is a popular event.

Judging costs £1 per person with all proceeds going to Baptist Home Mission.

To enter a cider in the competitoin, please note the following rules:

• Entries have to be handed in at the Rising Sun before 6:00pm on the day.
• There is an entry fee of £2 per bottle which will also be donated to Baptist Home Mission.
• To enter a cider you must be available to stay in the pub for the competition
• The cider must be made from apples grown in Haddenham.No cheating.
• Liam and Sylvie will have final say if we believe someone had 'bent the rules' e.g. added bought cider.
• Your cider must have an amusing or witty name. "Water Infection" (which won in 2023) is acceptable. "Tim's Cider" is not acceptable.
• Boring names will be removed from the competition!
