On Monday 13th September the Coop stores in Haddenham, Bedgrove, and Walton Court in collaboration presented a £600 Community Donation cheque towards AHS Aylesbury High School's racing and engineering projects.
AHS has an e-power racing car team that competes in the
regional races including Kop Hill Soap Box this month in Princes Risborough.
The students are in the process of designing and building the cart and then race it on the day against other local schools, groups and individuals.
The project provides opportunities for students to engage in activities that are challenging, relevant and motivating. Giving students enjoyment, satisfaction and a sense of purpose, and enabling them to feel they can play a constructive role in a technological society.
Co-op's donation will go towards the development of projects related to Design, Technology & Engineering.
The donation meets Co-op's focus to deliver Fairer Access to Education and Employment Opportunities
