On Sunday 27th April 2025, Dan Moss will be running the TCS London Marathon, taking part for the first time and running with a charity place for Young Lives vs Cancer. Having participated in several 5k runs, 10k runs and around seven half marathons, this will be his first run at Marathon distance and training has commenced already around the roads and streets of Haddenham!
Dan is focused on this charity because, as he points out, "every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Young Lives vs Cancer helps families find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them during what are, no doubt, some of the hardest times they will face in their lifetime. They support them in a wide range of ways with methods and initiatives to ensure that no child faces cancer alone."
Says Dan: "Young Lives are a charity which mean a lot to myself and my family with the help and support they give to families and individuals every day, and a charity for whom my Mum has been volunteering for the last 4 Years as part of their ongoing project implementation team."
As part of the fundraising for this, Dan will be hosting a Charity Fundraiser Quiz Night on Saturday 28th September with ALL proceeds going to the charity cause. The quiz night will be hosted and run by Dan and will be held at St Mary's Centre Haddenham (HP17 8AE). Ticket prices are £10 PP with a Chili Supper, max teams of eight and BYOB.
