The Haddenham Festive Trail is going ahead this December!

The event was set up in 2020 by volunteers to unite and bring joy to our village community when we could not meet in person, with the added bonus of raising funds for good causes. After a break in 2024, the Festive Trail is back this year by popular demand.

All you have to do is fill out the online entry form by 24th November and your display will be on the official Trail Map and List of Entries.

The Entry Form is here: https://forms.gle/HRFuTgQ27yKMRiC1A .

Displays need to be on view from 1st to 31st December. Details about how and where to get a Map will be published towards the end of November.

Everyone is aware of high energy costs and it’s not essential to use electric lights. Illuminated displays can include battery or solar powered lights. Unlit displays are also welcome, such as festive wreaths, decorated trees and seasonal tableau.

On Monday 1st December, there will be a “Switch On" at 6pm at Haddenham Park Care Home. Everyone is welcome. Hot chocolate, mulled wine and mince pies will be available. More details to follow.

Residents will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite displays. The three most popular will win an 'Afternoon Tea for Two' voucher donated by Haddenham Garden Centre plus an extra prize donated by Haddenham Park Care Home.

The Festive Trail is a free to enter community event, although we are inviting optional donations in aid of Dementia UK. So many local families have been affected by dementia. The charity’s Dementia Helpline is staffed by specialist Admiral Nurses who provide information, advice and support with any aspect of dementia. Admiral Nurses also run free face-to-face Dementia Clinics at selected Nationwide branches across the UK, including in Buckinghamshire. Local confidential Clinics include Aylesbury, Bletchley, High Wycombe and Marlow.

See here for locations and dates: https://www.dementiauk.org/information-and-support/how-we-can-support-you/admiral-nurse-clinics/nationwide/

A donation of £4 pays for the telephone cost of one family calling the free Helpline. £25 pays for a carer to receive an hour of one-to-one support from an Admiral Nurse.

Optional donations can be made in any of the following ways:
