The 2025 Festive Trail has begun, with the official Switch-on taking place at Haddenham Park Care Home, on Monday 1st December by Haddenham Park Residents Avril and Cath. The Switch-on was well attended by local families and raised a further £100 for Dementia UK. Haddenham Park kindly provided complimentary mulled wine, mince pies and roasted chestnuts. (They would like to humbly apologise for the hot chocolate which they only realised afterwards was substandard, as guests were too polite to say!)
There are over 50 entries to look for at homes and businesses throughout the village, including several street/group entries so there are many more than 50 individual displays to enjoy.
Printed Trail Maps are on sale for a suggested donation of £2 in aid of Dementia UK. Maps are available at the Switch On and at Blooming Fruity, Haddenham Library and Haddenham Garden Centre from Monday.
In addition, an online Map and List is available for download from this website – see attached PDFs. Since we went to print with the Map and List, several more displays have been added, so the online version has been updated to include these.
The Maps include details of many Festive events around the village. In addition, Haddenham Park would like to invite children and their families to Santa’s Workshop 11.00am-12.30pm on Christmas Eve, a morning of Christmas crafts for children.
Villagers have the opportunity to vote for their three favourite displays by email to haddenhamfestivetrail@gmail.com or by text to 07554 141810. The three that receive the most votes by the end of 31st December will win prizes kindly donated by Haddenham Garden Centre and Haddenham Park Care Home.
