UPDATE:
At the AVDC Planning meeting held on Thursday 9th January, our District Councillors Judy Brandis, Brian Foster and David Lyons spoke to request that the change of use application is rejected, as did parish council chairman David Truesdale and, on behalf of the Village Society, Richard Hirst.
I am delighted to report that District Councillors rejected the Officer's recommendation to approve the change of use of the Green Dragon from a pub to a residence!
...................................
A planning application for changing The Green Dragon from a pub to a residential house will be heard at AVDC planning committee on Thursday 9th January 2020 at 1.00pm
The meeting will take place at The Oculus, Aylesbury Vale District Council, The Gateway, Gatehouse Road, Aylesbury, HP19 8FF.
The current advice from the planning officer to the committee is for change of use to a residential dwelling to be Approved ....
This will be incredibly hard to overturn, but with the support and voices of local residents at the meeting there is still a chance of preserving The Green Dragon as a pub.
The Green Phoenix Team will be representing our views by speaking and voicing ours and the community's objections to the proposed change of use, but they need to have as many people present as possible at the meeting to reinforce their message and try and stop this happening.
You can read the application details by clicking on this link, select 'Search for Planning Applications' and copy-and-paste in the reference 19/03535/APP
Please do whatever you can to attend the meeting on Thursday and help save the Green Dragon for the village

Zero tolerance' approach to roadworks breachesThis year we've seen a record number of permit requests from utility firms — such as gas, water, electricity or communication companies — who want to access their infrastructure for repairs or improvement works.
