Have you thought about helping run
Haddenham Beavers?
Would you like to do something different? Would you like to have fun running the Beaver Colony for 6-8 year olds?
Beavers are the youngest members of the scouting movement. They enjoy various activities indoors and out and about.
The Beaver Colony was active until 18 months ago, but unfortunately then had to close. Can you spare some time to help get the Colony up and running again? There are youngsters on the waiting list ready for you!
You could run the colony on your own, with help from parents. However, if two people joined forces to run the colony together as leaders, it would be easier and even more fun.
Leaders will require a few Scout Association training courses and time to plan interesting activities and to run weekly meetings in term time.
Come and give it a try! Not only do beavers enjoy themselves, but it is also fun being a leader.
Scouting leaders in the village would be willing and able to help with advice and ideas. We want to get the colony restarted, and youngsters to be able to enjoy beaver activities before progressing to the cub pack and scout troop.
The Beaver Colony used to meet 5-6 pm on Tuesdays at the Scout & Guide Centre, but days and times are flexible.
