There's a new project afoot in Haddenham. Afoot? Well, it's about feet, certainly, and people who don't get around on them as easily as they might ...
It's called Level Ways. And aims to create a super-smooth circuit for those who live in the Woodlands (just north of the Community Junior School). Woodlands is quite a centre for independent living where many don't get out for exercise and access as often as they'd like. On mobility-scooters, walkers, with sticks... The present state of footways means that to these people, they're downright dangerous. And certainly off-putting.
So, many don't easily access the medical centre, pharmacy, Banks Parade, library, bus stop shelter and recreation ground. Haddenham's heart.
Residents of Woodlands, the Parish Council and Haddenham Safe Walking and Cycling group want to change this . They're all involved in LEVEL WAYS and would love to hear from anyone who can help promote this life-enhancing and unique project. In particular if you fancy designing a website, please contact Level Ways via facilities@haddenham-bucks-pc.gov.uk.
