Lands Improvement has sold a retail parcel on the Haddenham Airfield to Henry Davidson Developments
Henry Davidson Developments (HDD) plans to develop the site to provide a Co-Op convenience store, a Bright Horizons children's day nursery, and 17 two-bedroom apartments, subject to planning consent.
The site acquired by HDD forms part of a wider 158-acre (64-hectare) mixed-use development by Lands Improvement, already consented and will deliver up to 233 new homes (including affordable housing).
The plans, approved by Aylesbury Vale District Council in 2015, also include a 12-acre (5- hectare) extension to the existing Haddenham Business Park, a new community pavilion and sports pitches, open space and a 64-bedroom care home, recently announced to be operated by Majesticare Luxury Care Homes.
The Henry Davidson Developments group is a specialist retail-led developer with expertise in creating mixed-use developments. These range from convenience stores at the heart of new residential communities to larger schemes. HDD has delivered over 40 mixed-use developments across the UK, providing over 420,000 sq. ft. of retail space, 250 homes and numerous community and leisure facilities.
Scott Davidson, Managing Director at HDD said: "We're an ambitious company and we've got a pipeline of exciting developments right across the country. We have acquired the Haddenham site unconditionally which demonstrates that we are confident we can deliver a high quality development that addresses the needs of local people."
James Stone, Managing Director at Lands Improvement said: "This is another major step forward in the sustainable, mixed-used regeneration of our site at Haddenham. HDD and Co-Op have a proven track record of working together on similar developments and the new retail and nursery facilities they will deliver will benefit the existing Haddenham community, as well as the new residents and businesses our development is attracting to the area."
In addition to HDD and Majesticare Luxury Care Homes sales, Lands Improvement has also sold parcels to CALA Homes, DAF Trucks Limited and crane hire specialist GGR Group.
