Local resident, Paul Coaten, has been providing help and support to computer and smartphone users in the area for several years but has always fitted this work in alongside his day job.

But such has been the demand for his computer repair services, that he has now taken the decision to offer his expertise on a full-time basis.

Says Paul:

"I enjoyed repairing PCs from a young age so took a school leavers job in IT and enrolled myself on an Open University Course alongside that job. After successfully completing my course I started repairing PCs in my spare time, which then led to repairing Apple products including iPhones, iPads and Apple computers.

This gave me the confidence to change my employment and I began working within the IT department for a local charity.

I have since completed various other courses, including a Microsoft Certified Engineer course and a Microsoft Exchange course.

Over the last few years my private business has grown substantially and I have provided a service to many clients and businesses in the local area. So I have now taken the decision to set up on an independent basis full time.

To mark this significant move I'm offering a free Mac or PC service to two lucky residents.

So, if your machine has slowed down and you'd like to have it de-cluttered of unwanted files or memory-hugging applications that are no longer used, I hope you'll enter my competition!

To enter the competition, email me your answers to the following 3 questions at: pcoaten@pcfix-haddenham.co.uk

Those answering all three questions correctly will be entered into a prize draw, and two lucky winners will be notified. We will also publish the names of the prize winners as an update to this article."

Closing date for entries: Thursday 31st May 2018.

Competition Questions:

1. Apple, HP, and Microsoft were all started in what sort of building?

2. What purpose did the building that now houses the Haddenham Museum originally serve?

3. Our original railway station was closed in 1963. When was Haddenham & Thame Parkway Station opened?
