This year’s poppy appeal begins on 23rd October and runs until 11th November inclusive. There will be poppies available through the local businesses, schools and churches here in Haddenham.
The funds raised during the Poppy Appeal go directly towards providing vital services such as welfare, rehabilitation, and financial support to our Armed Forces community, in their time of need.
This year, we are reaching out to local businesses and organisations to engage their support. There are several ways you can help make a difference:
Employer Supported volunteering: Enabling staff to donate their time, during their working hours, to collect vital donations for the Poppy Appeal at markets and other high footfall areas.
Display Poppies: You can place a poppy box at your premises for staff and customers.
Raise Awareness: Promoting the Poppy Appeal through your business’s social media channels or in-store displays can help amplify our efforts.
Alternative Support: If you are interested, there are opportunities to support us in other ways such as, offering space for Poppy Appeal stock storage, or providing facilities to count donations, organise your own sponsored event, donate raffle prizes or host a bake sale at coffee break.
