As many will have observed, the changes to postal collections threatened some months ago have now been implemented so many boxes are cleared much earlier. However, residents may wish to know that in addition to the 5pm collection at Haddenham Post Office, two Monday to Friday afternoon collections continue, as follows:
1. From the box at the corner of Woodways and Roberts Road — 3.45pm
2. From the box at the corner of Townside and Wykeham Way — 4pm
These remain as parts of the village were more than the minimum one mile from the Post Office.
Also, although the post box notices refer to a later collection in Aylesbury, there is a later collection from Thame Sorting Office (just by the Town Hall) at 6.30pm (12 noon on Saturdays) and this is much nearer!
