The 11th Scarecrow Festival opens at 9am on Saturday 6th June!!
Haddenham Scout and Guide Association are hugely proud to present their 11th Haddenham Scarecrow Festival! This year's event – with an optional theme of “Colours of the Rainbow”, with over 90 displays to look for! I’m sure that more will pop up around the village as they always do!
PLEASE NOTE: As the forecast for Saturday afternoon (6th) is for potential heavy rain, it is possible that some Scarecrows may not be displayed on Day 1, but by Sunday they should all be out, so please bear with us and keep looking! You will have three weeks to find them all until Sunday 28th June.

High quality printed copies of the Map – kindly sponsored by Harpers Estate Agents in Haddenham – are available for a suggested minimum donation of £2 from the following venues: Harpers Estate Agents, Blooming Fruity, Haddenham Library, Haddenham Garden Centre, Village Bakery, Haddenham Parish Council, 70 Stanbridge Road and outside 7 Dovecote. Representatives from the Association will also have a table with Maps for sale at Haddenham Garden Centre 10-12 and at Vale Harvest 10—12 on Saturday 6th . If you don’t have cash, a card reader and a QR code for donations directly to our Justgiving page will be available.
The Association would like to say a special thank you to Michael Ball, who has created an updated Map to include all the new village roads to date. He has worked hard together with me to plot all this year’s entries on the Map and to include details of other village events. Thank you.
This year we are raising funds for Forever Colours Children’s Hospice. This is a small Buckinghamshire charity that provides hospice care at home and within the community to families with children who have life limiting conditions or profound learning disabilities. Donations can be made as follows:

Everyone can vote for up to 3 favourite Scarecrows. Vote by email at scarecrowhaddenham.festival@gmail.com or by text on 07554 141810. The three that receive the most votes will receive a fantastic bundle of goodies to include: Afternoon Tea for 2 donated by Haddenham Garden Centre and a bottle of Prosecco donated by Harpers Estate Agents.

The Scarecrow Festival has become a well-established annual “tradition” and creates a positive, exciting buzz within the community, especially with all the other summer events happening in the village, which are mentioned on the Map. We are all really looking forward to seeing the huge number of entries and hope the weather will be kind to us!
