A keen group of willing volunteers turned out to help maintain the Snakemoor nature reserve on Saturday 29th October.
A great deal was achieved during the session, including:
* Planting 60 Woodland Trust hedgerow saplings
* Improvements to the driveway hedging
* Mowing the meadow (thanks to Michael Whitney)
* Chipping debris wood & wind damaged trees
(thanks to Mark Nicholson)
* Further pruning of the orchard
* Relaying of worm paths
* Stream upkeep
* Restoration of a bench
* Rebuilding the log barrier
A pre-Christmas social gathering is being planned for all volunteers, so mark the date in your diary:
Saturday 17th December, late afternoon until dusk.
