Haddenham Sports & Social Club is a family club, open to everyone.

The committee is pleased to announce that the club is re-opening its doors on Friday 11th June following a challenging year due to the necessary restrictions created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Haddenham Sports & Social Club is the youngest of the current village establishments. It originated in the 1980s when Simon Witney and Denis Taylor decided to raise funds to help build a social club to support the village sports clubs.

Following successful fundraising and the support of other members of the village, it was built in 1991 and has been an active club supporting all village sports teams over the last 30 years, as well as being used as a function space for village clubs and societies.

The Sports & Social Club has suffered financially over the last year, as many establishments have. The funds which had previously been built up have been depleted with the ongoing running costs throughout COVID. Despite this set back, there is a determination from the committee and its members to restart and we are looking forward to welcoming new and existing members, to support the club.

We have Sky Sports and BT Sport on site and look forward to showing live sport in what should be an exciting summer.

We are a membership club and all monies made are reinvested back into the club's facilities.

Membership is only £6 a year for an adult and £10 for a family and with a full range of beers, wines, ciders, spirits and soft drinks in our bar, which are all priced very competitively, we can offer our members great value for money.

We pride ourselves on being a family club and we offer a venue in which all the family can enjoy our facilities, and with the added bonus of being on the Woodways Playing field, there is plenty of space for all the family to enjoy themselves.

We are re-opening initially at the following times:

· Friday: 5pm — 11pm

· Saturday: 1pm — 10pm

· Sunday: 1pm — 4pm

We also arrange event nights such as quiz nights, bingo, discos, Karaoke etc. and as these are arranged, full details will be available on the Haddenham Sports and Social Facebook page.

We hope you would like to come and see what we can offer and look forward to welcoming you through our doors.
