Thanks to Mary & Garry

This year's local Poppy Appeal for the Royal British Legion raised the truly incredible sum of £16,357 !!

This remarkable achievement was very much down to the dedication and persistence of Mary and Garry Miller, who seemed to pop up everywhere during the collection period running up to Remembrance Day this year!

You may have spotted them on the north-bound and south-bound platforms of H&TP station at unearthly hours of the morning, engaging with bleary-eyed commuters ...

Or maybe in. one of the village cafes ...

Or at the Masons' Big Band Swing concert at the village hall ...

Or at the village hall for the Vale Harvest food market ...

Or at Haddenham Garden Centre ...

Or at Hartwell Nurseries ...!

Members of the Haddenham Village Society committee were so impressed by the extraordinary effort invested by Mary and Garry that they wanted to say a huge 'thank you' on behalf of the Haddenham community.
