Haddenham Parish Council has one of its regular Planning Committee meetings on at 7.30pm on Monday 16th November in the Walter Rose Room at the Village Hall. As usual, the public are invited to attend the meeting during which a maximum of 15 minutes will be allowed to receive representations from them. The agenda for the meeting can be found here — click on the word 'Agenda' in the far right column.

Besides Councillors looking at four routine planning applications, they will also be considering their response to the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan (VALP) covering the whole of Aylesbury Vale. In addition an update will be given regarding the Public Inquiry which is to be heard before an Inspector on 24th November. That hearing, relating to Lightwood Strategic and the Glebe Land north of Tiggywinkles, 14/02666/AOP, is expected to last for four days. In due course the Inspector's report will be forwarded to the Secretary of State, for him to decide for or against the application.

At the end of the Planning Committee meeting Councillors have a "Confidential Item" scheduled as "Judicial Review of the Haddenham Neighbourhood Plan" — being Lightwood Strategic's application to the High Court for such a review, as they seek to overturn the Haddenham Neighbourhood Plan.

As regards the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan (VALP), this will include the overall strategy for future development in the AVDC area, alongside site application plans and development management policies. In progressing their plan AVDC have launched a consultation process, and in addition they will need to take some account of our own Neighbourhood Plan.

You are encouraged to respond to the consultation by 4th December, and AVDC are holding a public exhibition in the Village Hall from 1.30pm to 9.30pm on Wednesday 11th November when officers will be available to explain the options and answer any questions you may have about the VALP. There will be a similar public exhibition in Buckingham Community Centre, Cornwalls Meadow, Buckingham, MK18 1RP from 11am to 8pm on Friday 20th November.

AVDC's website has a number of pages covering the VALP, including downloads of the exhibition panels that can be seen at the public exhibitions mentioned above. The best starting point is here.
