Come and enjoy Haddenham's traditional village fete.

The weather is looking promising for the village fete taking place this Saturday, 14th June, on Church End Green, starting at 12:30pm.

Give the kids a few pound coins and they will have a wondefrful time exploring all that's on offer!

Attractions

As well as lots of local organisation stalls and attractions, special highlights include:

  • WWII Flypast
  • Vintage Swing Boats
  • Bowl the Pig on Manor Farm Lawn
  • The Slow Bicycle Race on The Green Mile
  • and Open Gardens in Church End and Flint Street

There will be a Beer Tent hosted by the Haddenham Beer Festivals Trust
and a PIMMs tent hosted by the Village Society

Teas are also being served all afternoon in St. Mary's Church

While fundraising in support of village initiatives is an important part of the Fete, let's not forget that this is a day to celebrate all that goes on in our wonderful community. So, it is lovely to see stalls from so many local charities, businesses, organisations and schools.

Fete Opening

The fete will be officially opened soon after 12:30pm by up-coming young actor and Haddenham resident, Benjamin Chivers.,who is currently enjoying astonishing success both here and in the US.

He first received critical acclaim for taking the leading role as Isaac alongside Peter Capaldi in Amazon Prime's The Devil's Hour, for which he was nominated for a National TV Award. He then appeared alongside Joaquin Phoenix in Ridley Scott's film "Napoleon".

He has made appearances in household TV shows such as Doctor Who and Casualty (which is out in the Autumn). And perhaps one of his most exciting roles to date – he was the lead child role in Guy Ritchie's recently released film Fountain of Youth, alongside an all star cast including Natalie Portman and John Krasinki.

All this at the tender age of 12!

Come along and see Benjamin when the fete opens at 12.30pm
