As part of their Eastertide observance, members of local congregations met together on Good Friday 18th April, under the banner of Churches Together in Haddenham, to participate in a public act of worship and a walk of witness through the village.
Beginning at Townend Green, the group processed along Dollicott, past the Rising Sun to Fort End. From there they walked down the High Street and on to the Catholic church. The group then walked along The Croft and Gibson Lane before emerging onto Church End.
Along the way, the group stopped at various points to hear Easter readings and to offer prayers and hymns.
The timber cross was carried by Andy Price, Ken Gilham and Mike Bissett, members of St Mary's Church.
At St Mary's Church the group joined a larger congregation from the Methodist, Baptist, Catholic and Anglican churches for a service to mark Good Friday, led by members of the Catholic Church.
Our thanks to Mary Miller for the photographs.
