It's almost time for Haddenham Winterfest and this year it is being billed as Haddenham's biggest ever Christmas party ever — and for good reason.
Taking place on Saturday, 14th December, the part-beer festival part-Christmas fair is moving to one giant festive marquee next to the Scout and Guide Hut.
Measuring 100ft by 100ft the giant tent will have room for everyone, including the bars, mulled wine, live music and Christmas fair. All the hot food will be just outside; well within touching distance.
Although historically smaller and more community-themed than its larger summer equivalent the Winterfest is a great event which incorporates all the aspects of a Christmas fair and a winter beer festival.
Food offerings consist of the now traditional barbecue run by the Haddenham Masons as well as hot turkey and stuffing rolls from Orchard View Farm , lamb and tzatziki wraps, fresh soup and jacket potatoes, gourmet cheese ploughman's from Open Air foods, and cakes, toasted nuts & mince pies from Made by Mums.
Kirsty's Kitchen will also be present with her legendary Scotch eggs and sausage rolls — worth the trip down to Banks Park alone.
Committee member Nick Moore said: "We're a charity event that raises money for good causes in the village and surrounding area. Anyone who has been to either of our annual festivals will tell you we put on a good day. And all money raised goes to a good cause.
"After the success of Summerfest 2013 we're looking forward to another great turnout."
