Great News!
Eric Pickles, the Secretary of State, has today notified Haddenham Parish Council of his decision to call-in the planning application by Lightwood Strategic for 280 residential dwellings and associated development on land at Haddenham Glebe/Aston Road.
Under his powers in section 77 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 the application will be referred to him directly instead of being dealt with by the Local Planning Authority.
A local inquiry will be held the details of which will follow.
Congratulations to all those who wrote to key individuals, especially Eric Pickles himself, but also John Bercow who has been very supportive.
Break open the champagne!
