Haddenham Youth Football Club (HYFC) staged its annual presentation for several of its teams last Saturday (29 April 2023), handing out medals and trophies to young boys and girls among its 400 registered players across 22 sides.
HYFC also unveiled its updated branding. Drawing on the Club's heritage and traditional colours, an iconic new duck features at the heart of the new logo which has been built for the social media age. The fresh branding was developed by HYFC parents Steve Stretton and Alastair Robertson, along with colleagues in his agency Nucco.
The Club also submitted its Development Plan to the Football Association last week. With a growing community, HYFC aims to attract more players; add more teams; improve its playing facilities in partnership with Haddenham Parish Council; and bag more wins, big or small.
Several HYFC teams are currently completing their league seasons and competing in end-of-season tournaments, whilst some sides have made it through to cup finals. U8s and U11 Boys both represented Haddenham in the Adams Park Cup on the Wycombe Wanderers pitch last weekend whilst the U14 Girls were runners up in the League Cup Final and the U17 Boys won the Referees Cup last weekend. The U12 Boys Rangers will run out in their League Cup Final on 14th May.
Commenting on Club plans, HYFC chairman Alex Wagstaff said:
"Well done to all the boys and girls, as well as members of our Ladies and Walking Football teams, on a fantastic season. A special good luck to players competing in cups and tournaments over the next few weeks.
"As Haddenham develops and football's popularity continues to grow, we want more young boys and girls to be part our inclusive, family-friendly Club. We provide a safe and positive environment and have plans to enhance the coaching experience and our training and match facilities.
"Come and join us!"
HYFC is currently developing a new website — to be found at www.hyfc.club — ready for next season.
