Haddenham Youth Football Club (HYFC) has revealed its latest group of supporters under a new partnership with Haddenham Park Care Home and Apartments.
The company behind the state-of-the-art care home and luxury apartments will sponsor HYFC’s Community Fund for the 2025/26 and 2026/2027 seasons. It means young boys and girls can be part of the family-friendly club, even when finances are stretched.
The Community Fund is open to families of boys and girls in Haddenham and the surrounding area who are struggling with finances. The application process is simple and unobtrusive. The Fund ensures no young players miss out on football due to their ability to play or pay. HYFC’s Community Fund is also generously supported by Haddenham Village Fete in 2025/26. The Fund typically supports around ten families each season. A Boot Exchange Scheme also helps the Club’s youngest players.
Haddenham Park, part of the Majesticare group, is located opposite the ‘Airfield’ pitches where HYFC’s U11s and older teams train and play. The company is committed to being connected to the community, giving residents a true sense of belonging, and has been keen to develop a partnership with the Club.
Alex Wagstaff, Club Chairman, HYFC said:
"We’re delighted Haddenham Park is backing the Community Fund. As our Club grows and cost of living pressures remain, it’s essential HYFC is open to every young boy and girl to enjoy their football, playing with friends and being part of a community.
Haddenham Park is already proving to be an excellent partner and we look forward to warmly welcoming residents to our touchlines."
Ann-Marie Baker, Customer Relations Manager at Haddenham Park Care Home & Apartments, said:
"This cause is very close to our hearts.
“Supporting Haddenham Youth Football Club through its Community Fund reflects our commitment to building strong community connections and ensuring every child has the chance to enjoy football. Our residents are excited to be part of the Club’s journey, cheering from the sidelines and joining in its special events.”
Haddenham Park will be involved in HYFC’s community events, including the Club’s 30th Anniversary Dinner on Saturday 9th May 2026.
HYFC was founded in 1995 and features 22 sides – covering mixed, boys, girls, walking and veterans’ football – with over 400 registered players. It also runs the Chiltern Comets PAN-Disability team in partnership with fellow local clubs. HYFC is an inclusive and family-friendly club, affiliated to the FA, and run entirely by volunteers.
