Festive Trail Paused for 2024

Having spoken to several regular supporters of the Festive Trail, we have decided to take a break this year.

The original initiative came from three volunteers as a fundraising initiative in lockdown during December 2020 when nothing else was happening and it continued for four years. Today, there are SO many lovely Christmas events, seasonal fundraising activities and church services happening in our village and they all take time to prepare.

Although the vast majority of households display Christmas lights, the numbers of people entering the Festive Trail to be listed on the Map and the funds raised for local good causes has significantly decreased over the last two years. We are also mindful of increasing electricity costs and have tried to encourage eco-friendly alternatives. So we'll take a break and review again next year.

Haddenham's Christmas displays have always been wonderful, and I'm sure residents and businesses will continue to light up our village during December. Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support.
