Mary Pritchard's 90th
Mary Pritchard will be celebrating her 90th birthday this month, having lived in the village for 65 years and for 50 years ran the Downley Lodge School, teaching dance and speech & drama to many hundreds of local children, many of whom have felt the benefit of her teaching in their careers.
She ran the U3A 'Speaking with Confidence' group, and the Haddenham Tea Dance. A book of her poems Mrs P's Poems, was published a few years ago and a copy is available in Haddenham Library.
There will be a little surprise drop-in tea party for her on Saturday 31st August at the St Mary's Centre from 2-4pm. Her daughter Bryonie is contacting friends and family and people from church etc. who may like to come, so please feel invited.

Mary is less mobile now, having given up driving last year so her daughter thought it would be lovely for her to have some cheery messages, especially as there is so much disruption going on around her at the moment with various building works.
