Musicians Needed

This year the annual Village Carol Service is taking place in the Village Hall on Friday 13th December at 6.30pm. This is a community event organised by Churches together in Haddenham with participating children's school choir from one of the village schools, this year from St Mary's school.

It has been a tradition to assemble as many local instrumentalists as possible to form a 'motley band' to accompany the audience carols at this event and provide some introductory music while everyone assembles, so I do hope that you can come and play this year?

Please do forward this email to any other Haddenham or local musicians that you know of that might like to join in – there are bound to be local musicians out there that I don't have contact details for.

It would also be good to be able to include any proficient students if they can be encouraged to take part? I suggest that musicians need to be of around Grade 5+ standard as we do not have prior rehearsals. We will just play-in from 5.45pm.

The usual format will apply – please arrive at the Village Hall from 5.30pm on the day (or as soon as you can get there) We will rehearse using my Kaleidoscope arrangements or sheet music, and play everyone in until the service starts at 6.30pm.

Please remember to bring a music stand with you!
