Home » News » 2019 Local Elections Postponed

Following the recent Government decision to move to a unitary authority in Buckinghamshire, combining the County Council and District Council authorities into one body, AVDC has now received confirmation from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government that there will not be any local elections in 2019.

This means that district councillors will now continue until 2020 and that elections for the new unitary council will take place in May 2020.

Town and parish council elections have also been postponed until May 2020.

Democratic Services can be contacted on 01296 585040.

This website will continue to keep local residents informed about the development of the new unitary council as further details become clear.
