With clocks going back, colder weather and earlier sunsets, Winter is on its way. We could all do with a bit of Hygge — that lovely Danish concept of quiet comfort!

Well, you can find this and lots more — free of charge — in Haddenham Community Library where there's always a very warm welcome.

The building has recently been refurbished, with a super new roof, together with upgraded doors and windows keeping it toasty warm and properly ventilated whatever the weather.

Perhaps you might like to catch up with a friend over a cup of tea ? Then why not arrange to meet at the library and enjoy our comfy chairs and low-priced drinks in a warm, safe, and friendly place in the heart of the village?

Are you stuck in the house with pre-school kids? Why not come along to the library and snuggle up together and read some stories ?.

Are you working from home and fed up with the same four walls ? Fancy a change of scenery? Then check out the library where we offer free Wi-Fi and decent coffee.

Are you struggling with a new phone or perhaps worried about security online? Wanting to explore some new apps? Come and talk to Mary on a Thursday morning. With 37 years working for BT with digital security knowledge there isn't much she can't help you with — and she has the patience of a saint!

Or perhaps you just want somewhere different to go and get out of the house for a bit. Then why not give the library a try? Bring your knitting. We have lots of lovely books to browse and get lost in. Our volunteer staff are a friendly bunch so you can always have someone to chat to if you wish.

Remember you don't have to be a library member to use us ! So go on pay us a visit , you will be surprised what we have on offer.

We are open from 10.00am until 5.00pm on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and from 10.00am until 1.00pm on Saturday .

Anna and Harriet , our Library managers, and all our volunteer staff look forward to seeing you in the library soon.
