With the approaching Christmas celebrations and extended holiday period, please spare a thought for any elderly, vulnerable or isolated friends, neighbours and relatives you may have.
While Christmas is a merry time for many, it can be lonely and anxious for some.
If you know anyone in that situation, please check in on them over coming days and weeks — being a good neighbour can make an enormous difference to the lives of people who may feel lonely at this time of year.

Thanks to the amazing community response last autumn for poppies and doves for Remembrance Day, we have stored a large number of poppies that were knitted, crocheted or crafted from felt. It would be wonderful to re-use them on an annual basis.One suggestion is that we create a 'pop-up' display, which can be used each November.If you would like to be involved or if you have any ideas...
