There are now just seven days to go to the local and general elections, taking place on Thursday 7th May 2015.

The editor of this website has been contacted by a number of local residents to ask if Haddenham.net might be in a position to host 'electronic hustings' — i.e., a question-and-answer forum in which key questions can be raised and candidates for the local District Council (AVDC) election are invited to respond.

We have been exploring this from a practical point of view, and one of the biggest challenges has proven to be the difficulty in obtaining email addresses for all 12 candidates, so they can each have a fair and equal chance to participate.

Curiously, in an age of data protection, the home address of each candidate is openly available in the public domain, and yet even the electoral registration office has no record of the candidates' email addresses.

By means of this article, we are therefore inviting each of the candidates standing for election as District Councillors in the Haddenham & Stone Ward to send us their email address, so that they might be formally invited to participate in electronic hustings hosted on this community website.

In the meantime, if local residents have a key question they would like to put to all the candidates in the District Council election, please email the website editor at: haddenham.net@hotmail.com

Below is a list of candidates standing for the Haddenham & Stone Ward in Aylesbury Vale District election of District Councillors.
