Haddenham Festive Trail going ahead 2nd-31st December:
enter by 28th November!

The Haddenham Festive Trail was originally set up in 2020 by volunteers to unite and bring joy to our community when we could not meet in person. In response to many residents who have requested the event should continue, a simplified Festive Trail will go ahead 2-31 December, with an online Entry form and Map and no voting. We'll save that for the annual Scarecrow Festival! It's lovely to simply focus on bringing seasonal light and joy to the village community.

We are all aware of high energy costs and it's not compulsory to use electric lights. Illuminated displays can include battery or solar powered lights. Unlit displays are also welcome, such as festive wreaths, decorated trees and seasonal tableau

On Saturday 2nd December, there will be a village wide "Switch On" at 4pm, hosted in the former Airfield area of Haddenham (exact location and full details will be publicised nearer the time).

To enter, please complete the Entry Form here

To guarantee inclusion on the official Festive Trail Map, forms must be submitted by midnight on Tuesday 28th November. Late entrants are of course encouraged to still go ahead, but regrettably will not be on the official Map.

This is a free to enter community event, although we do try to raise funds for local charities. This year's Trail will support Thame Foodbank. This is run by Sharing Life Trust which supports local people in need of a little extra help to feed their family, especially at Christmas.  The Trust delivers food and essential household items every weekday to many local villages including Haddenham.

Optional donations can be made in any of the following ways:

* Online donation:  here - please quote Haddenham Festive Trail in your donation message

* Cash donation or cheque payable to Sharing Life Trust delivered or posted to Festive Trail,  c/o 7 Dovecote, Haddenham, HP17 8BP

* Bank Transfer: Sort Code: 30-98-56 A/C No: 29225168 A/C Name: F Flaxton Ref: Festive Trail

Donations of in-date food, household items and dog/cat food can be made throughout Haddenham at: porch of St Mary's Church, Haddenham Co-op, Haddenham Library, Morrisons and Haddenham Methodist Church

We very much look forward to receiving as many entries as possible by 28th November at the very latest and to seeing Haddenham lit up from 2nd December!
