Youth Cricket 03a

For those parents who have children who have not yet started to play cricket or are new to the village and surrounding area, I would like to introduce to you to Haddenham Cricket Club.

We have been running a mixed aged junior section for six years, offering training on Wednesday evenings for school years 1 to 8.

Our U9-U13 age group play in the Aylesbury vale mid-week league and this season we have also entered the U13, into the Bucks county league.

Our first training session will be on the 15th April and we are looking forward to seeing old and new members for another cricket season.

Our training times are as follows:

U7 Yr 1 & 2 6 to 7pm on the muga (Haddenham Junior School dry play area)
U9 Yr 3 & 4 6 to 7pm on the Haddenham playing fields
U11 Yr 5 & 6 7 to 8pm on the Haddenham playing fields
U13 Yr 7 & 8 6 to 7pm on the Haddenham playing fields

We offer a two week free trial period for new members or for those children who are not sure if they want to continue to play cricket.

We have had to increase our junior fees. U7 are now £40 and for all other age groups the fee is £45. There are no match fees.

New members will receive a club shirt, club and sponsors badge and a club cap. Last seasons U7s moving up to U9 will also receive a new white cricket shirt with badges.

We are in the process of organising our very first fun day tournament. We have invited clubs from the surrounding area and so far have had a good response. The tournament will be held on Sunday 14th June. We will host an u7, u9 and u11 competition.

We also have the William Rose Memorial mixed age group tournament on Sunday 12th July.

All of our committee members, coaches and parent administrators are volunteers who make all this possible and are passionate about taking the junior section of our local cricket club forward but we do need more help.

So please get in touch if you can spare some time during this cricket season especially if you have a child in our U7 or U9 age group this coming season.

If you have any questions relating to the cricket club or training please feel free to contact me via the email address below.
