Calling all instrumentalists
After Covid prevented this event from happening for the last 2 years, it will be great to finally get back to some sort of normality and be able to have our Village Carol Service again this year, organised each year by Churches Together in Haddenham.
It has been a tradition for us to assemble as many instrumentalists as possible to form a 'motley band' to accompany the carols at this event, so I do hope that you can come and play this year: Friday 9th December, 7pm in the Village Hall.
Please do draw attention to this request to any other Haddenham or local musicians that you know of that might like to join in — there are bound to be local musicians out there that I don't have contact details for.
It would also be really good to be able to include any proficient students if they can be encouraged to take part? I suggest that musicians need to be of around Grade 5+ standard as we do not have prior rehearsals, just a play-in from 6.15pm.
Usual format — we rehearse in the Village Hall from 6.15pm on the day, using my Kaleidoscope arrangements or sheet music, and play everyone in until the service starts at 7pm.
Please remember to bring a music stand with you!
I look forward to hearing who will be available to join in.
