We are pleased to announce that a further supply of flu vaccines has safely arrived at the practice.

More flu clinic appointments are now available to book online and through reception. Please book online if you can to help our very busy reception team.

Please book an appointment only if you are eligible for a free NHS flu jab.

For now, we are prioritising those over 65 years of age and younger patients with certain health conditions. If you are unsure if you are eligible, please check here.

We also still have a good supply of flu nose spray vaccines for young children. If your child was aged 2 or 3 years old on the 31st of August 2021 (so were born between 1st September 2017 and 31st August 2019) then please ring reception now to book an appointment: 01844 293300. Older children will be offered the flu vaccine at school.

There has been some confusion about COVID booster vaccines that we would like to clear up.

Some NHS documents are calling these "booster vaccines"; some are calling them "third COVID vaccines". The booster vaccine is a third COVID vaccine – it is a standard vaccine as used for the first and second jabs.

The confusion may have arisen because, unless you have a medical reason not to receive the Pfizer COVID vaccine for your booster, you will be offered this irrespective of whether or not you had Pfizer or AstraZeneca for your first two jabs.
