Did you see local resident (and Parish Councillor) John Wheeler on BBC Mastermind? John's specialist subject was "The Shipping Forecast". John did fantastically well, and those who watched the programme were truly impressed not only by his specialist and general knowledge, but also by his apparent calmness under pressure. Excellent stuff!

Sadly, the BBC iPlayer service on the internet does not carry the past programmes in full, so you are unlikely to be able to view the episode in question after the first week of September. However, you can listen to the programme (akin to a radio broadcast) if you click here.
