Following Christina Jeffery's retirement as the Haddenham correspondent for the Bucks Herald, Michelle Jones has taken over this voluntary role. Here Michelle introduces herself
Hello, Haddenham!
My name is Michelle Jones and I am the new Haddenham correspondent for the Bucks Herald.
I would love to receive your news items, announcements and diary dates for the Bucks Herald column. Please send anything to msjeditorial@gmail.com by Friday, 12 noon, for the next Wednesday's paper.
I have lived in Haddenham for 15 years, moving from Aylesbury with my husband and daughter, when my daughter was very young.
Living in Haddenham has been a delight, with its friendly people and wide range of facilities and activities. From great schools to inspiring clubs and societies, and Haddenham's many events from the fair and the fĂȘte, to the Christmas tree festival, Haddenham should be proud of the community it creates.
I have spent most of my working life in editorial roles, working on reading books for primary schools and assessment materials for older children. After a long period at home, looking after various family members, I am now back to work part-time, on a freelance basis.
My interests are gardening, photography, travel and animal welfare, and I look forward to getting more involved with these activities this year.
I can't wait to hear from you all soon and welcome any new ideas for what you would like to see in the column.
A happy 2022 to everyone.
All the best.
Michelle
