Richborough Estates is continuing to push for planning permission to develop land on the East side of Churchway, just North of Green Lane (opposite the Redrow development.) This has been a long running saga, with the original application reported on this website several years ago.
The most recent application was considered by the Central Bucks Area Planning Committee on Wednesday 10th January 2024 and the application was rejected.
However, Richborough Estates has submitted yet another appeal – we've lost count of the number of times we've been round this Groundhog Day loop! The appeal will go before a Planning Inspector on Thursday 27th June.
The Village Society has submitted an objection to the Inspector noting its continued concern at the impact on the village of this proposed development – see attached PDF. It would be helpful if individuals also submitted their comments prior to the deadline of Friday 7th June – this applies even if residents have submitted comments previously. Haddenham Parish Council is looking at employing a professional planning consultant to represent all of us in presenting our case for rejecting the appeal. It would also be helpful if as many people as possible were able to attend the hearing at The Gateway on Gatehouse Road in Aylesbury, on 27th June.
