Transport for Bucks are carrying out various road re-surfacing works in our area in the next few days and weeks.

Willis Road & Franklin Road

Residents of Willis Road and Franklin Road will already be well aware that patching work is being carried out this week, with daytime road closures necessary.

A418 Aylesbury Road

Transport for Buckinghamshire will be undertaking highway resurfacing works to the A418 Aylesbury Road, Haddenham from approx. 150 m to the west of the Dadbrook turn, to approx. 200m to the East of the Dadbrook turn.

This work is being undertaken to improve the condition of the road and to prolong its life and involves the removal and replacement of the bituminous surfacing.

The works are scheduled to commence on Wednesday 19th October and it is estimated they will take 3 nights to complete.

Information signs will be erected on site prior to commencement of the works, giving the actual dates and durations. You will appreciate that works of this nature are extremely weather dependant and therefore may be subject to disruption due to inclement weather. If the works are delayed, the advance information signs on site will be updated to reflect any change in dates.

The overnight road closures will commence on Wednesday 19th October and will be in operation between 19:00 and 06:00 hrs each weekday night. There will be no works over either Saturday or Sunday nights.

Contractors will endeavour to keep the noise levels on the site as low as reasonably possible at all times. However, due to the nature of these works, noisy activities may occur at times throughout the period and TfB apologises in advance for any disturbance which this may cause.

It is vitally important that whilst the works are being undertaken vehicles are not parked on the highway and/or footway, as this would obviously cause an obstruction and prevent the necessary works from being carried out in their entirety.

Access to residents and businesses will be maintained as far as practicable, however there will be times when access will not be possible for health and safety reasons.

Gibson Lane

Transport for Buckinghamshire will be undertaking highway resurfacing works to Gibson Lane, Haddenham from Station Road to White Hart Lane, as part of the Highway Maintenance Investment Programme. This work is being undertaken to improve the condition of the road and to prolong its life and involves the removal and replacement of the bituminous surfacing.

The works are scheduled to commence on Friday 28th October and it is estimated they will take 2 days to complete. No work will be carried out over the weekend.

Information signs will be erected on site prior to commencement of the works, giving the actual dates and durations. Works of this nature are extremely weather dependant and therefore may be subject to disruption due to inclement weather. If the works are delayed, the advance information signs on site will be updated to reflect any change in dates.

The decision has been made to carry out these works during the day in order to minimise the impact on residents. Contractors will endeavour to keep the noise levels on the site as low as reasonably possible at all times, however due to the nature of these works, noisy activities may occur at times throughout the period and TfB apologises in advance for this.

The work will be undertaken under a formal road closure which will be in operation between approximately 07:30hrs and 18.00hrs. Access will be granted to residents if essential or for emergency reasons, however cars will not be permitted to travel over hot material for health and safety reasons. Therefore you may on occasion be asked to park elsewhere and walk to your property if required. TfB apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and point out that it is vitally that whilst works are being undertaken, vehicles are not parked on the highway and/or footway, as this would obviously cause an obstruction and prevent the necessary works from being carried out in their entirety.
