'Turn End' is one of three village houses, The Turn, Middle Turn & Turn End, designed and built by architect Peter Aldington in the 1960s. Turn End Garden was created as a natural extension to the house and has grown with the buildings, maturing into an internationally renowned garden, gaining publicity through television and the many articles that have been written about it. For those unfamiliar with Turn End Garden, its location is in Townside, Haddenham at HP17 8BG.

Turn End Trust
The Charitable Trust was established in 1998 to conserve the buildings and gardens at Turn End and to promote the education of building and garden design. The Trust runs a programme of events throughout the year. These include charity open days, guided tours of the garden, sculpture exhibitions, creative workshops and horticulture classes.

Turn End Garden offers an intriguing series of different 'rooms', each with a distinctive character and planting style, framed by traditional wychert walls, a Victorian coach house and mature trees. The garden has been created over the past 50 years by architect Peter Aldington alongside his own award winning family home. In just over half an acre, space is used to create an illusion of size. The garden includes courtyards with pools, a curved lawn and shaded glades, sunken gardens, a dry garden, a small woodland area with spring bulbs, a bedding display with box hedging and an ericaceous garden. Turn End Trust is pleased to announce a series of events taking place in the garden during 2014.

Seasonal Walks
Enjoy a leisurely stroll through Turn End Garden in the company of Jackie Hunt, Turn End's gardener, exploring what the garden has to offer at different seasons of the year. Jackie will be highlighting aspects of the garden that are of special seasonal interest and explaining what she does to maintain the garden at that time of year. Clothing and footwear suitable for all weather conditions recommended.
