The traditional village carol service was held in the village hall on Friday 8th December, co-ordinated by Churches Together in Haddenham and led, this year, by Cassa Messervy, Rector at Haddenham St Mary's Church.
Cassa spoke about Christmas being about movement, not just shopping, driving and preparing but a movement in our hearts and minds from selfishness to selflessness. The gift of grace offered by the baby in the manager enables us with this movement.
Young people from the Community Junior School provided readings and delighted those attending with festive carols.
Andy Price also provided a thoughtful reading.
The evening concluded with the Haddenham Mummers' folk play and a charity collection.
